MIDI Format

The MIDI Format, an acronym for Musical Instrument Digital Interface, is a technical standard that allows musical instruments, computers, and other electronic equipment to communicate, control, and synchronize with each other. It enables the sharing of musical information, such as notes, rhythms, and instrument sounds, in a digital format that can be easily manipulated and reproduced. MIDI has been fundamental in music production, composition, and live performance since its introduction in the 1980s, allowing for complex musical arrangements to be created and performed using electronic devices.
