Decentralization

Decentralization refers to the distribution of power, authority, or resources away from a central location or governing body. In the context of technology, particularly blockchain and Web3, decentralization involves spreading out the control and management of networks, applications, and data across multiple nodes or participants to reduce reliance on a single point of failure or control. This approach enhances security, promotes transparency, and fosters greater user participation in governance. Decentralization challenges traditional centralized systems by enabling more democratic and equitable decision-making processes and facilitating peer-to-peer interactions without intermediaries.
